Outrage is never the problem

Over the last few years, outrage has taken quite a beating. Some say outrage is overdone. Some say outrage is fake. Some say even that outrage and anger are unhealthy. I have and always will disagree with those sentiments. For those of you who know me, that will be no surprise.

Constructive outrage and expressions of anger are what forces change. It's what makes us human.. We must be outraged when we see injustice; when we know that change is needed but doesn't happen.

"I can't breathe" were among George Floyd's last words and his death will not be in vain. But it is not just a slogan at protests either.  For too many, it's become a way of life. Is it ironic that the pandemic's most lethal symptoms is not been able to breathe? Not sure irony is the right word. Need to think more about this but there's one thing I'm sure of: Time for a change.
